Coral Springs, FL. – Attorney Andrew Weinstein, managing partner and founder of the Weinstein Law Firm, recently presented at the Florida Justice Association’s Auto Negligence Continuing Legal Education (CLE) Seminar. Andrew’s presentation, "Personal Injury Protection- Where are we now?" focused on current developments in Florida's Personal Injury Protection insurance law including the use of the Medicare fee schedule and the debate over whether it is mandatory or voluntary for insurers to pay claims pursuant to it.

"With the recent changes in the law, PIP claims made by doctors, chiropractors and other health care professionals are coming under more scrutiny and as a result insurance company practices also need to be examined more closely in an effort to stop the denial of legitimate claims," said Andrew.

Andrew also discussed the recent decisions from the Third District Court of Appeal regarding peer review reports and the impact those cases have had on both PIP and bodily injury claims, along with tips and ideas for bodily injury practitioners when dealing with a client’s PIP claim.

The Weinstein Law Firm is a full service healthcare litigation firm having represented health care professionals in thousands of PIP claim issues. The firm offers a no-cost review of PIP and other insurance claims and can be reached at (954) 757-7500.
